Pride 2007 I

Of all the ways the values of San Francisco are displayed, Pride is by far the most fun and the most moving to me. Mollie and I took the kids and met up with Victoria, Ian and Max. We were lucky to find Janice & Toni (the ladies who inspire me to cry at the parade every year) and they and their bikes were a smash with the kids. Sorry Janice, Toni's purple bike was the biggest hit--I mean, come on--it's purple!

We went to Six Flags in Vallejo and both kids seemed to have a great time. Jack was very impressed that his favorite superheroes made an appearance but was too shy to meet them. Maddie was banned from all rides (too short) but enjoyed crawling around and seeing the sights.

As we make our way through the superheroes, Spiderman secures a special place in Jack's heart. Mainly because this shirt is just so cool.

Max and Maddie are ready to hang with the big boys. Max is braver than Maddie, she likes having a little space between her and Darth Vader...

doesn't that expression mean you are embarassed or made a mistake? Maddie doesn't seem to agree-she thinks it's fun.

Grandma Weez & Grandpa

We had a great visit with my parents. Jack enjoyed all of Grandpa's stories and Maddie loved having new people to smile at.
